Wednesday Wisdom

Hi everyone! It’s Wednesday again so I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to.. uhmm.. bestow my unquestionable wisdom upon you. Yeah, that sounds convincing enough, right?

Do more of what makes you happy. It kind of ties in with my last Wednesday Wisdom post about taking time to relax, as they both involve taking time to enjoy yourself and enjoy life. But I would still separate them. Relaxing and taking some time to rest is a great way to unwind, but doing something that makes you happy is more of a proactive way of making your life better, even if it’s already awesome.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve already talked about it before, as it was one of the first things I ‘learned’ from therapy, but I can’t stress enough how important it is. Whether it’s getting out and about, going for walks, shopping, cinema, swimming or it’s something indoorsy like painting, knitting, baking, DIY – honestly, there’s no limit to what you could do, as long as it makes you happy. Even if you’re not in a good place right now and the last thing you want to think about is taking time off from doing ‘important adult things’, soon you’ll be enjoying life just a little bit more and more every day.

Also, smile more – it’s a fact that smiling really does trick our brains into thinking we’re happy and once our brain is in the feelings will follow, so you’ll actually feel happier.
