Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog! I’m going to dedicate a whole post on that so I won’t say any more on that subject for now. Instead I thought I’d share my December Lookfantastic Beauty Subscription Box with you. Wow that’s a mouthful! The December edit is called Beauty In Wonderland which in itself sounds magically wintery, something that I think is emphasised even more by the gorgeous deep blue box design.
I will admit that at first glance it looks somewhat bleak and boring, or at least not the most exciting of selections. That should teach me not to judge a sample by its pot! (Yes, I’m very proud of that)
MDMFLOW – Matte Lipstick in Bossy. I’VE FOUND MY NUDE!!! Right, that actually sounds a bit weird. But oh my! I’ve been searching for a nude lipstick that would suit me for sooooo long and so far I’ve had very little luck – nothing has looked even remotely wearable on me. Until this little beauty came along. I can’t even.. So happy! You may think me weird for being so excited about a lipstick but you just wait until one day you’re searching for the perfect one.
POLAAR – Genuine Lapland Hand Cream. This smells like winter to me. So, in other words, it smells amazing. It’s super hydrating but not at all greasy and that’s thanks to a very high concentrate of arctic berries extract. Yum!
GATINEAU – Youth Activating Beauty Serum. I’ve not actually tried this yet so can’t comment on whether it works, but it’s by a French brand that specialises in anti-aging products. They choose the best natural ingredients combined with biotechnology. Sounds pretty fancy.
SUKI – Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser. Another absolutely amazingly smelling little hero. I haven’t tried to exfoliate with it yet, but the scent is enough to get me on board for now. I mean, it’d have to pretty terrible for me to hate it as the smell would make up for quite a lot. (If you don’t like strong or lemony scents, this exfoliator probably won’t be for you.) I will however try all the everything in this box and report back towards the end of the month on how I got along with them for perhaps a bit of a fairer review.
FIGS AND ROUGE – Hydra Activ Smart Nutrient Day Cream. I’ve actually used this cream before and I really liked it. It’s quite thick but absorbs nicely and doesn’t smell much of anything. So a very nice everyday cream for me. (Yes, I know it comes as a bit of a shock that sometimes I do like beauty products that don’t smell of anything.)
BUBBLE T – Limited Edition Beauty In Wonderland Bath Fizzer. We don’t actually have a bath (just a shower), so I’ve not had a chance to try this blueberry tea scented bath fizzer yet and I’m not sure when I will get to use it. However just out of the bag I’m actually not too keen on the smell of it. There’s a strong smell of something that I can’t really put my finger on, but I just don’t like it. It could smell totally different once it’s working its magical wonders and I shall let you know when I’ve used it.
That’s it! As you can see, once again I got quite a few new favourites (that lipstick! And hand cream!) and restocked my everyday skincare stash.
Overall I’m very happy with what I got and am excited to see what Lookfantastic have got in store for me next month! Let me know what you thought of this box if you got it or have tried any of the products in it.
Also (I can’t believe I managed to hold it in until the end of this post!) IT’S DECEMBER! I can officially go nuts with everything festive and boy am I excited to do just that! Woohoo and ho-ho-ho!
