Helloooo my lovelies! How are you all on this beautiful Friday morning? All well and good, I hope. I’m all loaded up from the sunshine yesterday and ready to tackle the weekend. We had one of our first (and quite possibly last, knowing the weather here) sunny days yesterday and the day before, so I decided to make the most of it. Which means I took my reading outside for an hour. That was enough for me for time being. Anyway, I need to stop blabbing and get to the post!
GLAMGLOW – Supermud Clearing Treatment (15g). I actually got this little guy in a different beauty box last month, so I’ve already tried it before and boy am I glad that I got another one! I went through my previous sample pretty quick as I honestly think it’s one of the best face masks I’ve ever tried. It left my face so soft and silky, it’s just… amazing. Except that it looks like baby diarrhea when first applied. The fact that it kind of SPLURTED out when I first used it didn’t do anything to get rid of that image either. I feel a bit weird saying this now, but overall I really love this mask and definitely recommend it.
PÜR – Fully Charged Mascara (4ml). I didn’t really get along with this mascara. I will give it a few more chances as I believe that first impressions can be deceiving and I shall hold back my final judgement until we’ve had more time to get acquainted. For now it’s been too gloopy for my liking – giving me gloop volume, but no lengthening or actual nice thickness.
DR BOTANICALS – Vegan Bergamot & Poppy Seed Soap (100g). Now this on the other hand. Whoooosh that’s one amazingly smelling scrubby soap. I could smell it even before I opened the delivery box. My favourite item this month, I think. From what I’ve tried anyway. I love the exfoliating poppy seeds and the super moisturising and hydrating shea butter and macadamia oil. It’s just… Yeah. Would definitely buy this again and see what else they’ve got as well.
NIP + FAB – Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads (10 pads). I haven’t actually tried these out yet. I thought they’re perfect for travelling and as it happens we’re going away for a long weekend next week, so I’ll be giving them a go then. Although now that I’ve read a bit more about them, I realise I may have misunderstood their purpose. To be honest I thought they were just your regular cleansing pads but looks like they may be a little bit more… uhmm… aggressive than that. We’ll see.
EMMA HARDIE – Moringa Cleansing Balm (15ml). Another thing that I’ve actually not tried out yet, but I will be giving it a go over the weekend and let you know how it goes. From testing it on my hand I can say that it’s silky smooth and simple enough to get along with. We’ll see how it acts on my face though. To be continued…
NUXE – Creme Fraiche de Beaute (15ml). I love the smell of it. It reminds me of summer nights. This cream absorbs well, isn’t greasy and does what it says on the bottle as far as I’m concerned. If you like Nuxe products in general, you’ll probably find this to your liking as well. I’d recommend it.
That’s the lot! I think I really need to start passing on some of my face cream samples. There’s no way I’ll manage to use them up myself. But overall I’m very happy with this box, with the possible exception of the mascara, but we’ll see how that goes. It could turn out to be one of those hidden gems that just needs a bit of time to come out of its shell and shine. That soap though… I have it sitting on my desk at the moment, filling my office with its amazing scent. Love it!
Let me know what you’re loving most in this month’s box – I’m still super nosey and curious about what you think.
See you soon!
