My cat Mischief is currently sitting on my arm, hugging me and looking up with his gorgeous big blue eyes. Completely distracting me. Can’t even remember what I was going to write about.
A little while later…
Where was I? Oh, yes, my monthly beauty subscription box! In fact, that’s one of the two posts I’ll be sharing with you this month on said subject. Let’s get into this one though before I get distracted again.
The September edit of Lookfantastic Beauty Box is birthday themed to celebrate their 5th birthday. As usual it’s accompanied by the latest issue of Elle magazine and LF’s own little booklet about this month’s box and articles around the theme of it.
Lookfantastic September 2019
Pixi, Liplift Max in ‘Honey Sheen’ (1g, £12)
Smells like mint. Flattering golden finish. Leaves lips soft.
Oskia, Renaissance Cleansing Gel (35ml, £14)
Absolutely love it! Removes makeup perfectly. Would buy again.
Bubble T, Limited Edition Lookfantastic Birthday Bath Bomb (100g, £4.99)
Not tried yet. Looks like fun. Will report later.
Sleek, Brow Stylist in ‘Medium 717’ (0.3g, £6.49)
Love the brush. Shade too warm. Is still usable.
Molton Brown, Orange & Bergamot body wash (100ml, £10)
Gorgeously refreshing scent. Good tester size. Cleansed me well.
Caudalie, Premium Cru the Eye Cream (5ml, £16.35)
Very thick formula. Visible results confirmed. Would certainly recommend.
Overall verdict? Definitely more products that I really liked than ones I didn’t. Actually, was there anything I wasn’t a fan of? Hmm, ah, yes, the eyebrow thing is a bit of a wrong shade for me. Too warm toned to suit me perfectly. But I can still use it along with some cooler brow gel for example. Works quite well. Talk about cup half full, eh?
So yes, very happy with this box (even though I guess it could’ve been a bit more birthday themed… not much about this box that screams birthday to me).
Looking forward to next month with its holographic sheet mask sneak peek!
