I’m sure I make the same pun every year. But I love bad puns and can’t help myself. So hey ho.
It’s been raining a lot recently which I love. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night just to listen to it hammering down. So soothing. I’ve also noticed some leaves on trees have already started to change colour and fall down. I even asked my Significant Otter (SO) to get my winter/autumn boots down from the loft today. And of course I’ve been burning my autumnal candles. I’ve currently got Apple Walnut scented one from DW Home on my desk. Smells gorgeous.
Now to more mundane items on the agenda – I need to tidy. Like… It’s not desperate yet. For example, since I did the Big Tidy in the bedroom months ago where I went through every single item in there, got rid of what wasn’t needed and found a home for everything I wanted to keep, it’s actually been really easy to keep on top of it. It’s just doing this with all the other rooms that’s proving to be a bit more difficult. But I believe in myself. I think I do anyway. Maybe. This thought was followed by a long and tedious inner monologue of me trying to figure out whether I’m capable of believing in myself long enough to tidy the house. I won’t bore you with the details, it was bad enough having to witness it once, I don’t want to relive it again.
What else? OH! We got a tarantula! A little Brachypelma Albopilosum spiderling (or ‘sling’). We named it Spin. After Spin from Brandon Sanderson’s book Skyward. But also because Spin is an awesome name for a tarantula. Fun fact – as Spin is only a baby our house spiders are several times bigger than him (we don’t actually know if it’s a boy or a girl yet but to stop it from getting too confusing I’ll just refer to Spin as ‘he’ for now) at the moment.
I don’t think there’s been anything else. Nothing that jumps to mind anyway. OH! Wait, how could I forget? We (me and my SO) have been invited to a wedding! Most of you will probably wonder what’s so special about that? Well, it’s special firstly because it’s two of our oldest friends who have finally decided to tie the knot and secondly because I’ve only ever been to one wedding before (and that was my own wedding). Super excited for it. Can’t wait!
Right, that’s it for now, I think.
Till next time,
