My life

Cinema and Happy Birthday

In the past few years I’ve been to the cinema only a handful of times. Pretty much whenever there’s been a new Marvel/DC film and to watch the special screenings of Lord of the Rings.

Why? Mostly because it’s expensive. And you have to make the conscious effort to take time out of your life to go see a film that you can probably enjoy from the comfort of your home in a few weeks/months. So laziness is the second reason.

Well, it’s all about to change.

We have signed up for cinema passes. £12.99 a month and you can go as many times as you like. Currently we’re booked in to see 3 films this week. THREE! In a WEEK! Talk about zero to 100, eh?

In any case, I’m very excited. First we’re going to see James Bond No Time To Die. I’ve heard great things about it so quite looking forward to it. As for the second film – apparently it’s been 20 years since the first Harry Potter film came out (way to make me feel super old, thanks!), so they’re doing a special screening for that and then right after we’re going to see Dune again. Again, you ask? Why yes, again, my dear friend. You see, we went to see it last Wednesday and we were both absolutely blown away by it. Blown. Away. It was the best thing I’ve seen in a very long time and I kept saying I can’t wait to watch it again, so there you go. Or there we go, really.

Anyway, that’s quite a lot of excitement in my normally blissfully peaceful life.

Oh, by the way, Chaser is two years old today! Can you believe it?! We got him a nice juicy steak for his birthday meal and honestly I’ve never seen anything disappear from a plate as fast as that steak. It was gone in about 5 seconds flat. Bless his little cotton socks.

I think it’s bed time now.

Until next time!

G.
